Welcome!

Welcome to Anna Tobeluk Memorial School in Nunapitchuk, AK. We are located Northwest of Bethel on the Johnson River in what is considered the tundra villages. Our community resides on both sides of the river. Our school, post office, stores and clinic are on one side, and the airstrip and many families reside on the other. We have no bridge. Most of the families here live a subsistence lifestyle. They hunt moose, ptarmigan and geese, and they fish for salmon, pike and whitefish. According to the 2010 census our population was 496. It is now estimated to be 526.

Our school of approximately 200 students is served by 13 teachers and 8.5 aides. Our mascot is the wolf and our colors are maroon and gold.

The mission of Anna Tobeluk Memorial School is to continually promote excellence in education with a goal of high school graduation by maintaining a partnership between parents, school and community as well as integrating the unique cultural and language aspects of the community and region into the school system.
